Two children killed and mother wounded by gunmen, says Police

Yei, 2nd September 2017. A group of unknown gunmen entered a house and shot a woman on her right hand but the bullet killed her eight-month-old child on Friday at 6:00PM in Yei, says Police Commissioner.
Major General Yoasa Lujang Kamba reports that the mother is undergoing treatment.
He adds that the same group of gunmen entered another house and killed a four-year-old girl.
Major General Lujang says police authorities have opened a case and investigation is still ongoing.
The Police Commissioner condemns the incident and urges residents of Yei to be calm.
He says they resolved in a meeting to deploy joint operations to patrol the town.
The incident happened after a civilian killed a thief two weeks back in Yei.
