Naandi, 30th June 2018. St Peter and Paul Naandi Parish in the Catholic Diocese of Tombura-Yambio allocates piece of land to internally displaced persons in Naandi for their safety.
Anisa Radio quoted Fr Justin Gizaza saying the number of the IDPs keep on increasing daily compared to last weeks.
He mentions that they have registered 431 mainly women and children and enrolled some kids in schools.
Last Sunday the church made local contribution to raise fund to help the people with some foods that can push them until they get support, he adds.
Fr Gizaza appeals to the Catholic Medical Mission Board and World Vision to rescue the situation in Naandi by providing health services to the IDPs.
He calls on the government of Tombura to protect IDPs from any aggression in the state.
Many of the IDPs fled violence in some parts of Yangiri last month.
