Juba, 20th July 2018. A regional National Dialogue is expected to take place on 15th August, following the previous grassroots consultation meeting in former Western Equatoria. This is according to the Chairperson for Western Equatoria regional Sub-Committee National Dialogue.
Pascal Bandindi says the sub-committee is consulting with the leadership in the area to select 30 members for regional conference. Anisa Radio reports.
He calls for equal representation from women, youth and political parties.
Bandindi states that the regional Sub-Committee National Dialogue is yet to decide whether the regional conference will be held in Yambio, former capital of Western Equatoria or shifted to Juba.
The national dialogue initiative announced by President Salva Kiir Mayardit in 2016 has incorporated participation of various South Sudanese such as retired politicians, religious leaders and technocrats.
