Juba, 12th May 2017. Accept the federal system of governance in the country, Minister of Federal Affairs appeals to South Sudanese.
Richard K. Mulla says federalism ensures that the states are guaranteed total self-governance, Radio Bakhita reports.
Federalism was chosen because it promotes good governance, he notes.
The country is has no federal system now because governors are not elected by people, but the president appointed them, the minister explains.
Mulla urges the people to eliminate opinions that federal system of governance is tribal.
The Minister was lecturing during a two-day media workshop on federalism and governance.
The lecture, CEPO organized, started on Thursday in Juba.
