Tombura, 24th November 2017. More than seven hundred internal displaced persons from Bazia of Wau State are currently sheltering in Nagero County in Tombura State, confirms Commissioner.
Radio Anisa quoted Balia Digido saying the IDPs majority of whom are women and children, are in a very bad condition as they do not have shelter, food, clothes and medicines.
Umia Yeng Peter, one of the IDPs, says their condition is worse because men in uniforms took away everything from them.
He regrets losing contact with his family members in Bazia.
Yeng asks the government to bring peace in the country so that he rejoins his family members.
Regina Elario, a woman who fled with seven children to Nagero, says when her husband left to Wau for the treatment, life was not safe and forced her to Nagero.
She also says they ran with no property and ask for help for the survival of her family.
Frederic Ufo, one of the IDPs who fled from Zomoi, says they are far from hospital and school and there is no way for them to educate their children because they do not have money.
The IDPs up to now have not received any humanitarian assistance.
