Juba, 26th December 2017. The leader of Muslim Community is calling on citizens to welcome the order issued by President Salva Kiir Mayardit on peace, ceasefire and amnesty.
Musa Hamad says South Sudan will only achieve peace if the orders of the president are respected and implemented, Radio Emmanuel reports.
The Muslim leader complains about tribalism that has hampered the unity of citizens in the country.
He calls for a unified national army to resolve security issues in South Sudan.
Hamad cites violation of laws by soldiers, which he says makes citizens live in fear.
He tells authorities to get rid of the term unknown gunmen.
The leader of Muslim community in Imotong State was talking during South Sudan national dialogue consultative meeting with stakeholders in Torit on Wednesday.
