More than 53 IDPs seek refuge at St Mary Catholic parish in Yambio.

Yambio, June 22nd June 2018. More than 53 Internal Displaced Persons seek refuge at St. Mary Catholic parish in Yambio. 
The IDPs arrive at the church premises On Tuesday evening after heavy gunshot on the North West part of Yambio town at around 10:00 am.
In an interview with Anisa FM Fr. Luise Nvuekama the priest in charge for St. Mary parish says they have registered 11household with the more than 53 individuals mostly children and women.
He mentions that they are talking with the departments of humanitarian in the diocese to see how they can provide them some basic needs.
The priest encourages the public to always carry what is important with then when running for their safety.
Some IDPS who spoke to Anisa FM appreciate St. Mary administration for hosting them at this critical moment.
They say they left their houses for their safety and their Families when fighting erupted on Monday near Saura market.
On Tuesday morning heavy gunshots could be heard about 15 KM on the north west of Yambio which has forced many people to leave their houses for their safety and more are still expected to arrive in church.
The speaker was speaking to Anisa Radio on Wednesday morning in Yambio.
