Minister of Health cautions people against Hepatitis B

Yambio, 27th December 2017. The State Minister of Health in Gbudue State is seriously warning the general public, to take precautions against the rampant Hepatitis B Virus in the area.
Hussein Enoka Ibrahim says the death rate of Hepatitis B is high in the state, Anisa Radio reports.
But he did not specify the number of victims and those who have died of the virus.
Minister Enoka appeals to the public to go for checkup.
He says the examination in Juba costs five hundred SSP and one thousand for treatment for those found positive.
The Minister discloses government’s plan to bring in more equipment and treatment for Hepatitis B in Gbudue State.
Minister Enoka warns the public from close contact with any dead body.
He says Hepatitis B can be transmitted through body contact with infected person, from sweat or shaking hands or hugging among others.
The State Minister of Health was speaking during Christmas Celebration at St Mary Catholic Parish in Yambio.
