Minister Laku regrets that the State has been experiencing insecurity that has persistently affected farmers from producing enough food.
He assures farmers of improved security in the state.

Rahman says FAO is ready to support farmers to ensure massive food production in the state.
He urges farmers to make proper use of the rainy season.
Chairperson of Chameleon Mix group, CMG, Emil Silver raises concerns that farmers groups in Torit always receive insufficient support and late provision of seeds.
Silver urges citizens not to rely on humanitarian aid but engage in cultivation to reduce dependency.
The speakers were talking during agricultural campaign at Torit Freedom square.
The campaign was organized by Food and Agricultural Organization in collaboration with the state ministry of Agriculture under the theme; “Time for a Hunger Free Nation, Put Farming First”.
