Mayor urges traders to reduce prices of commodities in Yambio.

Yambio, 7th July 2018. The Mayor of Yambio is calling upon all traders in the Municipality to reduce prices of commodities.
According to Anisa Radio, Singira Robert talk as the dollar rate is reducing after President Kiir and Dr Riek Machar signed permanent ceasefire agreement in Khartoum last month.
He is appealing to local traders in Yambio to look into the suffering of the community and reduce prices of commodities in the markets.
Though it is a free economy and the dollar rate is coming down business people have to reduce prices special the basic commodities like soap, salt and sugar, the mayor adds.
He urges the Chamber of Commerce to cooperate with the municipal council authorities.
When the dollar rate comes down, traders too have to reduce prices and when it goes up they can raise their prices, the mayor emphasizes.
He also warns that those who will insist keeping prices up when the dollar rate is down will answer why they are adamant on reducing their prices.
The mayor made the remark on Tuesday to Anisa Radio in Yambio.
