Authorities relocate IDPs to one of the Secondary Schools in Tombura State.

​Tambura, 6th June 2018. The authorities of Tombura State on Monday have addressed thousands of IDPs who ran from Nagero County to Tombura County.
Derrick Zinone Sasa Tombura County Commissioner who represents both County and State Government declares that the government has agreed to relocate the IDPs to the newly Tombura Science and Technology Secondary School within the town.
He reveals that for effective protection and humanitarian response that is why the government has relocated the IDPs waiting for the humanitarian Agencies hurry and rescue the situation.
Sasa confirms that the IPDs are in serious humanitarian needs because those IDPs spent more than 12 days in the bush struggling to reach Tombura.
The Commissioner calls on the warring parties in South Sudan to stop war and bring lasting peace because the war is making the innocent civilians vulnerable to all sorts of unbearable conditions including death.
Natale Dungura Cosmos the Executive Director of Nagero County who was also abducted by the rebels during the fight in Nagero County after spending some days in the bush managed to escape and joins his people again in Tombura.
Dungura reveals that the situation in Nagero County is tense and no civilian can live there at the moment.
He adds that the war in Nagero County has led to loss of lives of citizens, destruction of properties and also abduction of people
Kumboagbia Jackino Riwa Nagero Central Payam chief appreciates the governments in Tombura for welcoming the IDPs who have gone through miserable situation since the war erupted in Nagero County and ran to the bush.
He says that it was not easy for him to come with the civilians through the bush for the days they spent in the bush.
Riwa adds there are still good number of people who remained in the bush struggling to come to Tombura.
He reveals that some elderly people who were badly off from the journey have been left alone in the tropical forest who feed on wild fruits only.
Michael Mboro Gudi Sub-chief for Nagero Central Payam mentions, medicines, shelter, food are the immediate needs the IDPs expected most at the moment.
He regrets to see the situation the people of Nagero have faced
On 17 of last month, fighting erupted in Nagero County between government focese and  rebels which resulted in the abduction of the County Commissioner, Executive Director and other officials.
