UNESCO says access to Information contributes to development.

Juba, 30th July 2018. United Nation Education Scientific Cultural Organization or UNESCO attributes access to information as a major factor in the development of a country.
UNESCO country’s representative Sadar Umar Alam told a group civil society that it is the right of the people to access any information in his country.
Sadar, says a person with information can be able to conduct major business as the strategy of economic dimension to access to information states.
He spoke during a two day workshop organized by UNESCO and partners from UNMISS in Strengthening access to information.
Meanwhile, Commissioner of South Sudan Access to Information, Nicodemus Ajak Bior, says the aim of the work shop is to develop a strategic plan.
He ensures citizens that by the end of the workshop they will know their rights to access to information.
Access to Information was enacted in 2013 by the Members of the Parliament.
