Yambio, 22nd August 2018. Internal displaced persons or IDPs at Timbiro Anglican Archdiocese in Western Equatoria All Saints Cathedral complain of lack of humanitarian assistance.
According to Anisa Radio, the IDPs came from Bazungua, Guruba, Saura and Makpara areas.
One of the IDPs Venasio Idi Aragi says since they came to that place, they were given nothing.
He reveals that it is very difficult for them to get medicines.
Another IDP, Rhoda Yoanah says she ran to that place because they were being attacked every time by armed men.
She explains of how she gave birth to a baby at the Church premises.
Provincial Secretary for Western Equatoria Internal Province in Yambio, Tito Taban Ringanza, cites challenges including lack of food and property.
The IDPs have inadequate water supply as a major problem, he adds.
The secretary calls upon the government and all humanitarian agencies to support the IDPs.
