Hundreds of Christians celebrate Assumption feast in Nuba Mountains

El Obeit, 17th August 2017. Hundreds of worshipers gathered at Holy Cross Parish in the Catholic Diocese of El-Obied to celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Tuesday.
Fr Youhana Alamin in his homily praises the Blessed Virgin Mary for accepting to give birth to Jesus who redeemed the world.
He advises all people to respect mothers who are taking the example of Virgin Mary, the mother of God.
The priest cautions mothers to look at Blessed Virgin Mary as the role model of bringing up their children morally.
Fr Alamin calls on parents to be primary educators of Christian life to their children.
