Fees increased due to economic crisis and insecurity, says minister.

Wau, 14th May 2018. Increase of tuition fees in the University of Bahr El Ghazal is due to economic crisis and insecurity in the country, says Wau State Minister of Education.
Michael Madut Chan tells Voice of Hope Radio that the Deputy Governor formed fact-finding committee headed by the Minister of Local Government to see university students complains on the fees.
He says the talked to students representatives and they will explain the issue to their fellow learners.
The minister clarifies that College of Medicine will pay 15,000, Science students in the Faculty of Education pay 8,000 and Arts department students pay 7,000 SSP.
Students of the College of Economic pay 7,000 SSP and those in the College of Health Sciences pay 4,000 Pounds in addition to other academic requirements, he adds.
There was no protest made by the students as it was mention in other media houses.
The minister was responding to the students’ demands on registration fees after students refusing to register earlier this week.
