Tambura, 23rd August 2018. The minister of Information, Culture, Youth and Sports in Tambura state has said that suspected Ebola cases has been discovered near the border with Democratic Republic of Congo.
Anikumbo Mathew Emme warns the public to stop shaking hands as means of greetings because the disease is likely to spread through greetings and other body contacts.
“Ebola is a dangerous disease and its symptoms include bleeding which can lead to uncontrolled death “he adds.
Mathew calls on the public to take precaution by reducing unnecessary travel to the neighboring countries.
He notes that the state ministry of health has been tasked with the mission of monitoring cases of Ebola in the state.
The minister spoke to press after the council of ministers meeting in Tambura state.
