Conflict mitigation officer urges teachers to be peace maker in schools.

Yambio, 28th July 2017.  Action for Peace and Development Organization urges Teachers from various Secondary and Primary schools in Yambio to be peace makers.
Rev. Pastor. Samuel Basiame the Conflict Mitigation Officer says that it is the role of the teachers to show peace among themselves before excepting students or pupils to embrace peace and harmony and also learn how to resolve conflict in their areas.
He assures willingness for the extension of the program to other parts of the state and also using the Radio Talk show to carry awareness on how citizens can forgive and reconcile among themselves in order to realise peace and development.
Basiame calls on the participants to come up with some recommendation that can able the organization to know the views of the community about peace building.
Participants’ representative, Stephen Dicks says that teachers must start peace within their community and also teach students about the importance of peace.
He urges fellow teachers to form strong peace groups in their localities and work as ambassador of peace.
The program brought 25 participant from different secondary and primary schools in Yambio to Engagement Centre.
