Christians from Maringindo Parish Call for Humanitarian Assist from the Diocese.

Tambura, 31st May 2018. The Christians from Maringindo Parish call upon the authorities of the Catholic Diocese of Tambura-Yambio for immediate humanitarian assistance as they arrived at Tambura Parish this week.
Paul Gurngo David deputy head Catechist of Maringindo Parish, appeals to Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio to help the Christians who were being displaced from St. Daniel Comboni Maringindo Parish who are in desperate needs.
He says that, although the Christians ran to the parish in Nagero still the fighting parties reached the area and scattered them, but with God’s help they ran through the bush and spent 12 days before reaching to Tombura. 
Gurngo adds that, in all the difficulties they have remained strong in their faith in God for the great protection and help which they are receiving from the entire Christians now in Tombura Parish.
Assunta Severio Zasi from legion of Mary devotional Group says that, she managed to run only with child and the other four children whom their whereabout are not known up to now.
 She expresses that she is not happy because those children are God’s children. Adding they are too traumatized at the moment
She mentions, medicines and education for the children they have brought with them.
Teresa Sigin a secret heart of Jesus appeals to the diocese to send them at least second hand clothes, bed sheets and cooking utensils among others.
Some other members who talked to centenary radio regret to see the situation that they have gone through, adding that they are very sad to undergo the challenges of losing some Christians, children, properties and houses.
Albino Kparivuru the head catechist of St. Mary tambura parish on behave of the church welcomes the IDPs to parish, urging the Christians in Tambura to support their follow brothers and sisters who are being affected by the insecurity that occurred in Nagero.
On 17th of this month the rebels attacked Nagero county and fought with the government forces and displaced people and carried out abduction.
