Wau, 2nd August 2018. Catholic Church Administrator of the Dioceses of Wau has advocated for Peace as the only priority of ending the conflict in the country.
Fr. Marko Mongu calls on people of South Sudan to have strong faith in God and hopes the ongoing negotiations for peace will prevail.
Mongu says the Catholic Church of East Africa have met during a conference in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to discuss their roles on peace in their Countries
He adds that the church also looked into their contributions to the citizens by strengthening their health services, education and vocational trainings.
Fr. Mongu urges the East African countries to be an example of peace to the rest of communities like what Ethiopia and Eretria did.
He stresses that people of South Sudan have the capacity to bring peace to the country but it need strong faith.
