Yambio, 27th December 2017. The Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio urges South Sudanese to have strong and stable families in the country.
Bishop Barani Eduardo Hiiboro Kussala says he is worried to see the way marriages are being handled especially by the young generation, Anisa Radio reports.
He predicts that there is no future for the nation again if there is no proper strong and stable families established.
Bishop Hiiboro appeals to Young South Sudanese to think and decide wisely on the number of children they wish to produce to care for them well.
He advises them to marry in the church and receive the Holy sacrament of marriage.
The Catholic Bishop promises to support those who cannot afford to pay dowry because he wants to see proper marriages.
He advises married couples to be kind, submissive to one another, care and pay maximum respect to everybody.
Bishop Hiiboro says “be prayerful in your family to achieve your family needs even through difficulties”.
The Bishop made the remarks on Christmas Day at St Mary Catholic Parish in Yambio.
