Yambio, 3rd August 2018. The Director General for Wildlife and Conservation in Gbudue State urges public to stop killing wild animals in the state.
Anisa Radio quoted Brigadier General Jonathan Nyear that since ceasefire has been signed the people of wildlife should do the same.
In most of our operations we always find big numbers of wild animals that been hunted by the butchers, he stresses.
The killing of wild animals is prohibited and has been mentioned within the 2005 peace agreement and we will do research for the total that remained alive, he warns.
In March 2018 eight suspected butchers are in connection with the killing of wild animal they were arrested and they are still under custody waiting for the law to justify them, he adds.
The director confirming that his wildlife staffs are peaceful without challenges because they are getting their salary on time.
The official was speaking to Anisa FM Radio on Tuesday in Yambio.
