All private schools must register by end of July, Minister orders.

Juba, 2nd March 2018. All the private schools in South Sudan are asked to register between now and the end of July or stop operating, says the Minister of General Education and Instruction.
Deng Deng Hoc stresses that a ministerial order has been issued to all the state ministries of education to register the schools.
He calls on the school owners to follow legal entity, by registering with the Ministry of Justice, before it registers with the Ministry of education.
The owners are also asked to have enough money in their bank account and qualified teachers to run the school, appropriate building with toilets, facilities for playing and many others, Hoc adds.
He adds that qualified teachers or those who are still undergoing training are also required to apply for free license.
Registration fee for private schools will be decided from time to time, Hoc adds.
Hoc reiterates that only those who have submitted application for registration and are waiting for approval from the ministry will be allowed to operate.
He warns that schools that will not comply with the order will be closed down.
The Minster of General Education was speaking to journalists in Juba.
