Torit, 21st May 2018. The Chairperson of Civil Society Network for Eastern Equatoria fears that many South Sudanese will seek refuge in the neighbouring countries if the negotiating parties do not bring peace.
Charles Okullu calls on the negotiating parties in Addis Ababa to leave aside their individual interest and value the people for lasting peace in the country.
He accuses politicians of taking advantage of the suffering citizens for self-interest.
The Chairperson appeals to parties involve in the peace agreement to work hard and commit to bringing lasting peace in the country.
Mr Okullu calls on everybody to support the High Level Revitalization Forum as the only initiative that brings the conflicting parties together to iron their grievances.
He says inclusion of all parties in the peace talks will help warring parties to point out their grievances for the sake of peace in South Sudan.
He adds that putting down arms is all what every South Sudanese desires.

I am not sure about others but I feel there are more people now who are beginning to have an idea where all these hot air is heading to. It's not merely just hot air. It's a way for me now to express what I am never free to say just about anywhere or anytime. I think I know that I am a dead giveaway. I will never get tired of using that phrase because whoever called me that is in a better place now but unhappy because we are not together. I wish I can help but it seems this lifetime is just too short for us.
