Yambio, 3rd June 2017. Twelve people have been shot dead in Dona of Bazungua Payam in Yambio County of Gbudue State.
Gbudue State Police Commissioner, James Monday Enoka confirms the tragic event, describing it as “anti-peace act”, Radio Anisa reports.
This week, unidentified armed criminals attacked a house at Dona village and killed eight male and four female.
Tito Bakoyogo Samuel, a relative of the deceased, says his family members went to collect some cassava flour in the garden to feed on.
He calls on the government to work hard for peace to prevail in Gbudue State in order to give hope for the citizens.
Eva Richard Matabisi, a sister to the deceased, says her sister and four children were among those killed.
She urges the government to be alert of the situation going on in South Sudan.
Ms Richard regrets the act of killing innocent civilians, who are looking for a way to survive at this critical time.
Among those killed were three children of one and half, seven years, nine and 14 years old.
Many citizens who spoke to Anisa FM Radio were worried and shocked because of the incident.
